Below are details of the Imaging Technologies we offer.
Radiography
Using portable Computed radiography, high quality digital images may be obtained at your farm. The radiographic images are available in seconds, which helps us save valuable time in planning the proper course of action in cases such as a fractures. When more views of different angles might be needed to better evaluate lesions, using digital radiography may eliminate extra visits to the farm or having to repeat radiographs. It is also a very convenient technology allowing consultation with experts as the images are readily saved in digital formats and emailed. |

trasography
Ultrasound is a very valuable diagnostic imaging tool in evaluation of various organs and structures with soft tissue density. Ultrasound has become an essential part of almost any examination of mare reproductive organs - prior to or after breeding, early evaluation of pregnancy (Twin), and evaluation of high risk pregnancy (placentitis, hydrops, etc.). Ultrasonography is routinely used as a valuable diagnostic tool in lameness examinations to evaluate soft issue injuries to tendons and ligaments, and joints. It is also very valuable in the evaluation of abdominal (e.g. Acute colic, or chronic abdominal problems) and thoracic (Pleuro-pneumonia, lung abscesses, neoplasia and tumors , …) abnormalities. |
Endoscopy
Endoscopy of respiratory track allows diagnosis of several abnormalities and diseases causing abnormal respiratory noise (roaring), hemorrhage, or poor performance. A basic Endoscopic exam various anatomical structures in the nasal cavity, pharynx and trachea is visually evaluated. A routine endoscopic exam may be easily performed at the farm with minimal restrain or administration of a mild dose of a sedative. |
